Gained extensive knowledge of political philosophy and policy implementation. The National Forensics League sponsor Lincoln Douglas debate which centers on philosophical discussion. Participants gain in depth knowledge on a variety of hot button issues and are forced to defend both sides of the debate. The National Forensics association promotes policy discussion over a variety of annual resolutions. According to the National Debate Project (http://www.nationaldebateproject.org/) participants benefit from an inclination towards diplomacy, goal setting, reading and comprehension, oral communication, enhanced critical thinking, knowledge of social sciences, and key leadership skills.
