  • Voice Description

Keith Michaels could possibly be “the most interesting voice actor” to ever come out of Oscoda, Michigan USA.

Keith first became aware of his vocal talents at age 14, when he “wooed” his first girlfriend with a spot-on impression of Yoda. Then, as nature took over, and his voice became deeper, he was able to focus on older women, which has led to a 20 year love affair with his wonderful wife Gerry Ann.

When friends told him he should be a telephone prank artist, Keith decided radio was his calling, and set out to hone his craft. At the tender age of 19, Keith became one of the country’s youngest morning radio personalities, and in 1988, helped earn his station a Marconi Award nomination.

Being a thespian at heart, for 12 years Keith assumed large and small roles in mostly forgettable, off-Broadway (as in a thousand miles from…) stage plays. His most notable roles were that of Hugo Peabody in
"Bye Bye Birdie," for which he won the "Best Comedic Performance" award, and Alan Berg in "God’s Country.”

Having trained for four years at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, Keith was also a fantastic baritone, and at the age of 17, was selected to perform at the opening ceremonies for EPCOT center.

Fast forward 23 years. Today, Keith is a working voice actor and specializes in narration and audio books. After almost fifteen hundred projects voiced or produced, he continues to “woo” his wife and children daily, and perhaps an audience now and then. He also continues to pursue his dream of becoming a world champion Curling player, although living in Tampa, it has been difficult.
